Dr Jacobie graduated from the University Of Pretoria School Of Dentistry in 2012. She has a special interest in minimally invasive dentistry and prosthodontics. At Vermilion Dental & Health we believe in the power of preventing dental problems before they occur and treating the mouth (its function and aesthetics) as a whole.

General dental check-ups

General dental check-ups are more than just examinations; they are the cornerstone of proactive oral healthcare. We assess your oral health, catching potential issues early and providing personalized guidance for optimal dental wellness. A general dental check-up is advised six monthly and includes: - An oral cancer screening - An evaluation of the teeth for possible decay - An evaluation of the gums and bone surrounding the teeth - Routine x-rays to identify any decay or pathology

Oral Hygiene instructions and dental cleanings

We pride ourselves in educating our patients regarding brushing and oral hygiene practices. Brushing and flossing techniques are demonstrated and care taken to instruct patients according to their individual needs. A dental cleaning should be performed every six months; and can be performed in the same appointment as a general check-up. During a dental cleaning the teeth are cleaned using an ultra-sonic scaler to remove any debris and calculus. Teeth are then flossed and polished using a fluoride polishing paste to remove staining. A fluoride rinse will be performed (on patients older than 6 years) to strengthen the teeth and prevent decay.

Cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening

At Vermilion Dental & Health we want our patients to rediscover the joy of a confident smile! We offer cosmetic dental services including dental veneers, full porcelain crowns, cosmetic restorations and teeth whitening. We make use of different whitening systems for individual patient needs; from whitening toothpastes, mini whitening treatments to more intensive teeth whitening procedures.

Full mouth rehabilitations

In some cases the restoration of all the teeth in the mouth is necessary to provide an optimal aesthetic and functional outcome.

Fillings, crowns and root canal therapy

Whether addressing decay, damage or cosmetic concerns we restore teeth using multiple methods. We provide aesthetic and functional fillings, crowns and onlays; with or without root canal treatments.

Bridges and dentures

We offer services to replace missing teeth; these include dental bridges as well as removable dentures. Your individual patient needs will be evaluated during a thorough consultation and viable options will be discussed and recommended.

Biteplates, retainers and mouth guards

In today’s modern society night-time teeth grinding is very common and can lead to headaches, neck pain and unnecessary tooth wear. We manufacture bite plates to protect teeth and the temporomandibular joint from the destructive effects of grinding. We make use of digital intra-oral scans so no uncomfortable impressions are necessary. We also manufacture custom-made mouth guards and orthodontic retainers.

All-on-four implant rehabilitations

All-on-four procedures are performed when all the teeth in a jaw need to be replaced with a dental implant based prosthesis. At Vermilion Dental & Health we provide the prosthetic service as part of a multi-disciplinary team performing these larger cases.

Implant-based crowns, bridges and dentures

Implant based crowns bridges or dentures are used to offer a gold-standard permanent solution to missing teeth. We make use of digital technology and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a service that will restore your smile and function.

Paediatric dentistry

We believe that the practices and habits that lead to good oral and dental health is cultivated early on in life. It is of utmost importance for children to have positive dental experiences. We provide playful dental appointments to introduce kids to the dentist, dental chair and teeth cleanings.

Treatment of fearful children and adults

At Vermilion Dental & Health we know that most patients do not necessarily enjoy visiting the dentist. We take care to treat all of our patients with the necessary empathy and understanding. Because of our comfortable patient experience we provide dental services to fearful children and adults. It can also be arranged that treatment is performed under conscious sedation or general anaesthesia if it is more suitable. We make use of ‘The Wand’ digital STA Injection system to provide a nearly painless experience to our patients.
