Santa has delivered a new team member to Vermilion Health and an introduction is mandatory. Jody da Silva joins the team as our in-house Physiotherapist from January 2021. Jody graduated from The University of Pretoria in 2010 and has since gained vast experience in multiple aspects of practice; adding multiple tools and skills to his treatment modalities.
After completion of his community service year at South Rand District hospital in Johannesburg, he returned to Pretoria and worked predominantly in the rehabilitation field where restoration of function and optimal movement is emphasised. This philosophy remains part of the ethos Jody uses when treating patients, as he believes that pain-free, optimal movement of all joints is needed to restore function. Jody has a keen interest in joint pathology, movement disorders and conditions pertaining to the head and face. He embraces a holistic approach to his treatments, to optimise the impact on his patients’ results. No matter the condition, Jody is up for the challenge, whether the goal is to reduce pain, improve movement or provide advice regarding postural changes and lifestyle adaptations to keep you moving.
On a personal note Jody is a motivated person who prides himself on being honourable and realistic in his approach to life. Jody is passionate about his work as well as his family and strives to find a balance within his personal and professional life. He likes getting out into nature as often as possible and attributes his patience to his interaction with his daughter.
Contact Jody to learn more about the treatments that he offers and the conditions that he deals with. Jody can help resolve your aches and pains. He looks forward to assisting you.
